Tata Motors (Tata Motors) has increased the prices of the automatic variant of its three-row SUV Tata Safari (Safari) by up to Rs 7,000. The Tata Safari SUV 2021 is in nine automatic variants, which include XMA, XTA+, XZA, XZA+ 6-seater, XZA+, XZA+ 6-seater Adventure Edition, XZA+ Adventure Edition, XZA+ Gold 6-seater and XZA+ Gold.
Tata Motors has increased the prices of XMA and XZA variants by Rs 3000 and XTA+ by Rs 7000. The rest of the automatic variants have also become costlier by Rs 2000. However, the company has not made any change in the prices of the Safari manual variant.
Why Tata Safari’s price is increasing?
“The decision to increase the prices of commercial vehicles has been taken due to the increase in the cost of other raw materials as well as the prices of steel, aluminium and other precious metals,” Tata Motors said in a statement. Tata Motors is one of the biggest carmakers in India to announce a price hike. Earlier, Maruti Suzuki, Citroen, Mercedes-Benz and Audi have also announced to increase the prices of their vehicles from next month.

Earlier, Tata Motors had said that they are going to increase the prices of its commercial vehicles by 2.5 per cent from January. The company has said that it has to take this step due to an increase in commodity prices and an increase in raw material costs. Prices of medium and heavy commercial vehicles, medium and light commercial vehicles, small commercial vehicles and buses will also increase.

The TATA Safari SUV is available in a 2.0-litre diesel engine. This engine generates maximum power of 168 bhp. This engine is available with the option of a 6-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV also gets three drive modes – City, Sports, Eco. With a three-row cabin layout, the Safari comes in 6-seater and 7-seater options. Captain seats are available in the second row in the 6-seater variant of the SUV.

Safari gets many features like an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with IRA connected car technology, Android Auto and Apple Car Play support, a 9-speaker JBL sound system, wireless charger, air purifier, panoramic sunroof, cruise control, automatic AC.

Talking about the safety features, along with tire pressure monitoring, features like EBD, ABS, traction control, 6 airbags, rear parking sensors and corner stability control are available as standard.
