Ola Electric on Saturday unlocked a new online purchase window for its electric scooters. Keeping the purchase agreement as early, potential buyers who have secured the reservation by paying Rs 500 will get the first opportunity to buy the scooter in the purchase window. However, Ola Electric did not specify for how long the purchase window would stay open.

Ola S1 Pro price hike latest price

Ola Electrics has increased the prices of its flagship electric scooter S1 Pro. Ola has increased the price of the S1 Pro by Rs 10,000. However, the EV maker hasn’t given any reason for the price hike yet. The new ex-showroom price of Ola Electric S1 Pro is now Rs 1.40 lakh.

The EV maker has advanced the price of its e-scooter for the first time. The Ola S1 Pro electric scooter was launched on August 15 last year for Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).

Ola Electric has announced a new purchase window for all potential customers. The purchase window will be open over the weekend. The EV maker has already begun test ride camps in five cities across India. Ola said that the company would inform all customers who booked the electric scooter via email.

Driving range and speed

The Ola S1 variant can cover a distance of 121 km on a single full charge. Whereas the S1 Pro variant can cover a distance of up to 181 km on full charging. 

The S1 variant accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in 3.6 seconds. The S1 Pro variant can catch a speed of 0 to 40 kilometers per hour in 3 seconds. At the same time, the top speed of this scooter is 115 kmph.

Features

Both the S1 and S1 Pro models come with a slew of features. The scooter is keyless, and we can start it using the mobile phone app. We can also create Multi driver profiles in this. In the future, the company may enhance many features like parental controls and geofencing through app updates. Proximity sensors are available in this scooter, that is, the scooter will be unlocked as soon as you reach. The Ola scooter also comes with GPS and connectivity options with the option to open and close the boot.

50% charging in 18 minutes

Ola Electric’s Hypercharger charges the scooter’s battery from 0 to 50 percent in just 18 minutes. This will charge the scooter’s battery enough that it can cover a half-cycle range of 75 km. The company has given the list of cities in which the charging stations will be installed on its website. Mostly, Tier I and Tier II cities will be covered under its charging network. The hypercharge stations will get a multilevel layout to charge scooters of multiple customers at the same time.

Ola S1 is not available

The Ola electric scooter is available in S1, and S1 Pro trims. Due to the shortfall in production, Ola had already announced that it would only manufacture the S1 Pro.
