New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday remembered Swami Vivekananda’s famous speech at the Parliament of World Religions in Chicago in 1893 and on the 100th death anniversary of Subramania Bharti. He also congratulated the people on the occasion of Nuakhai. PM Modi said about Swami Vivekananda’s famous speech at the World Parliament of Religions in Chicago that its spirit has the potential to create a more just, prosperous, and inclusive world. Vivekananda’s speech at Chicago is deeply considering Hinduism and Indian culture, was widely praised, and its echo is heard even today.
PM Modi tweeted, “Remembering Swami Vivekananda’s iconic 1893 speech in Chicago, which beautifully displayed the primacy of Indian culture. The spirit of his speech has the potential to create a more just, prosperous, and inclusive world.”

He praised the extraordinary efforts of the farmers and their role in nation-building. Regarding this, PM Modi tweeted, “Nuaakhai Juhar! Gratitude to everyone on this auspicious occasion. On the occasion of Nuakhai, we appreciate the excellent efforts of our hardworking farmers and their role in nation-building. I wish everyone good health. And wish you well.”

Also, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Tamil litterateur and social reformer Subramanian Swamy on his 100th death anniversary. Modi wrote in the tweet, ‘Tributes to Vilakshan Subramaniam Bharti on his 100th death anniversary. We remember his rich scholarship, our nation’s multi-faceted contribution to the nation, great ideals on social justice and women empowerment. PM Modi also shared a speech given on Subramaniam Bharti in December 2020.’
