Kangana Ranaut on Gehraiyaan
The actress used her Instagram story to express her dissatisfaction. She posted her thoughts with the song ‘Chand Si Mehbooba’ from Manoj Kumar’s ‘Himalaya ki lap mein’ and said, “I am also a millennial but I identify and understand this kind of romance… in the name of millennial/new age/ urban movies don’t sell trash pls.. bad movies are bad movies no amount of skin show or pornography can save it… it’s a basic fact koi Gehraiyaan wali baat Nahi hai.“
“I too belong to this generation, but I identify and understand this kind of romance… generation/new age/Please don’t sell garbage in the name of urban movies… Bad movies are bad movies, no skin show or pornography can save it. It’s a basic fact, nothing deep”.
Earlier this month, Kangana launched her new reality show, ‘Lock Up’ at an event, and later interacted with the media. She lost her cool when a journalist asked her about an influencer who had shamed Deepika for her ‘hemlines and necklines’ during the promotions of Gehraiyaan. Rejecting the question, Kangana said, “Look, I’m here to defend those who can’t defend themselves. Okay? She can defend herself. She has the privilege, the platform, and I’m here for her.” Can’t promote the film. Sit down.”
When the journalist denied promoting Gehraiyaan by asking such a question, Kangana further said, ‘Of course, you have taken the name of the film. You are also naming a film which is coming up. You have been sent by the PR of the film. Oh man, we are not so innocent, are we? Asked me this question outside, I will talk with you for 45 minutes.”
