This ceremony will recognize outstanding achievements in film and television over the past year and is set to take place on a prime-time Sunday night slot. This year, the ceremony is introducing two new categories which are the Golden Globe for Best Performance in Stand-Up Comedy on Television and a Golden Globe for Cinematic and Box Office Achievement.
Named in honor of the late director and producer, the first-ever recipient in 1944, the Cecil B. DeMille Award adds a touch of legacy to the ceremony.
